The Village is a unique neighbourhood spread throughout
the busiest part of the city. Residents often say their
neighbourhood has a lot of visitors.
There are more resources in this neighbourhood than
any other in Saint John. Many in the helping fields are
located in the Waterloo Village including the Boys and Girls
Club, the Resource Centre for Youth (TRC), and St. Joesph’s
Community Health Centre. The challenge is to find ways to
make the traffic through the neighbourhood strengthen rather
than weaken the area.
The Village Association is a group of residents with the mission "to create and maintain an enviroment that is clean, safe, respectful and caring." There is also a newly emerging tenants association in the Courteney Bay Courts.
